During these crazy times, we are spending more time at home. Also, more than ever, you are probably cooking more meals at home. This is great, as it can be healthier and more budget friendly to eat at home. However, if you are spending more time in your kitchen, it may be apparent that your kitchen needs freshened up some. Here are five budget friendly ideas for less than $100 that will bring new life to your kitchen!
How about a new coat of paint? Even freshly painting your room the same color can make it look better. Or, maybe you want to change the look up and go with a new color. Paint is fairly inexpensive, with Home Depot selling Behr Ultra Premium paint for around $30 a gallon. They may have some cheaper alternatives, but it is usually better to stick with a higher quality paint. It will help the job look better! Pick up a few brushes, some rollers, tape, and you will be on your way to a freshly painted kitchen!
Need a new light fixture in your kitchen? The Home Depot has all kinds of options available and you should be able to pick one up for less than $100. Installing it is fairly easy if you are just replacing an existing unit. Just be sure to turn off the power when installing your new one!
Another focal point in your kitchen is the cabinets. Why not swap out the hardware on your cabinets? Not only is this an easy job, but you can do it fairly cheaply! These are fairly basic, but you can get this pack of 10 for about $17.00! Turn your outdated look in the kitchen into something updated and more modern!
Another simple and cost effective change is to change up your decor. Freshen up your hand towels and rugs in your kitchen. These can change the feel of your kitchen. You can also swap out soap dispensers to go along with the colors/feel.
Lastly, this improvement does not cost you anything! Not even a penny! Get rid of any clutter that you have in your kitchen. A lot of us have that one appliance we never use sitting on top of the counter top. Get rid of it! Too much clutter makes a room look messy and disorganized. It also makes cleaning more challenging.
If you have any other home improvement ideas, feel free to leave them in the comments below!
Have a great weekend and stay safe.
